If you’re looking for a beautiful Central American country to visit, then you can’t go wrong with Costa Rica. Known for breathtaking natural wonders, colorful culture, and amazing places to go to, it’s no surprise if you want to buy some Costa Rica real estate to just stay and enjoy the beauty of the country. Here are some places that you should visit, if you’re going to Costa Rica:
Monteverde
This is a private reserve and provides easy access to the legendary cloud forests. It’s considered one of the birthplaces of ecotourism in the country. You can go for high-altitude treks here, though the cool, damp, and windy weather makes for shorter visits.
Arenal Volcano
Located near Monteverde, the Arenal Volcano is majestic, with a near-conical shape. And aside from the Arenal Volcano, there are many other sights to see in the area. There are also the hanging bridges, which follow a well-maintained trail, and then there is Arenal Observatory Lounge, a restaurant and hotel that was once a science research station. From there, you can take in a wonderful view of the volcano, or explore 800 acres of primary and secondary rainforest, all within the Costa Rica real estate area that the Observatory oversees.
La Fortuna Waterfall
If you want to see marvel at another kind of elemental wonder, then it would be a good idea to go to the La Fortuna Waterfall. This waterfall is always surrounded in mist, as the waters fall 200 feet down a volcanic cliff face. You can even swim in some of the pools. Do make sure to check with your guide as to which are the safe ones.
San Jose Central Market
If you think you may be concentrating too much on the forests and waterfalls, then what you need to do is go to San Jose’s famed Central Market. Within the market’s more than two hundred stalls, you’ll find everything from tourist trinkets to herbal remedies and local handicraft items. And if you feel like your feet need a rest, all you have to do is go to the nearby cafes and bars to take a break and sample the local cuisine.
Sarchi
For a day trip to enjoy the local color, Sarchi might be a good place to go, as it is renowned for its arts and crafts, particularly the decorative carts. It’s a place devoted to local art, with shops for woodwork, leather, and textile goods.
Museo de Jade
For the people who have a bit of Indiana Jones in them, a visit to the world-famous Jade Museum is in order, as it has the largest collection of jade items.
Tortuga Island
This destination is actually made up of two islands, and the white sand beaches, combined with the cool blue waters, make Tortuga the iconic Central American beach getaway. It’s a good idea to find out when peak season is, though, so you can avoid the crowds, and have the place practically all to yourself.
If all these places are not tempting you to get yourself some Costa Rica real estate, we don’t know what will!
